Yes. Copper Lane is me — Sean Inglis. You email me, you get me. No account handlers, no junior designers, no sub-contracting it out. I have been building websites for around twelve years, and I run the studio full time from Ampleforth.

Two reasons. First, the studio itself is new and I am deliberately building a local North Yorkshire portfolio at launch pricing — these prices will rise once that portfolio is in place. Second, there is no agency overhead: no studio rent, no account managers, no resellers in the middle. The work is small, direct, and the saving goes to you.

A simple 3-page starter site usually takes 1-2 weeks once we have the content. A 5-page business site usually takes 2-4 weeks depending on copy, feedback, and any extras.

Launch pricing starts at £250 for a 3-page starter website and £500 for a 5-page business website. After launch, Care Lite is £19/month (hosting, SSL, backups, support — 6-month minimum) or Care + Local SEO is £49/month (everything in Lite plus 30 minutes of edits and 30 minutes of monthly local SEO work — 12-month minimum). Selected Founding Five clients get their website built for free and Care + Local SEO at £29/month for the first year. Extra pages, logos, copywriting from scratch, ecommerce, and booking systems are quoted separately before any work begins.

You get a full export of your site files and content, and any third-party accounts in your name (domain registrar, Google Business Profile, email) stay with you. The site itself runs on Copper Lane hosting, so cancelling means it comes off our hosting — but nothing is held hostage and there are no exit fees. The 12-month minimum term keeps the launch pricing viable.

Most starter sites do not need a complex CMS. I can build a fast, simple website and look after changes through the care plan. If you need to edit content yourself often, a WordPress or CMS-backed build is quoted separately.

Yes. The studio is in Ampleforth and the local work is the focus, but I meet in person where it makes sense and work remotely where it doesn’t. Over twelve years I have built sites for businesses across the UK — launch pricing is open to any small business.

If you want editing access, I can quote that. For most small businesses the £49/month Care + Local SEO plan is simpler: I handle hosting, updates, backups, support, small content edits, and active monthly local SEO work for you. If you prefer to manage your own content, Care Lite at £19/month is the lower-commitment option.

Often, yes. I’ll audit what you have, tell you honestly what’s worth keeping, and either refactor it or rebuild from scratch. Sometimes a fresh build is faster and cheaper than untangling a bad one — I’ll tell you upfront which it is.

Yes. Every website includes basic SEO setup. Local SEO retainers for businesses that want to rank more seriously start from £300/month and can include Google Business Profile work, service pages, local content, and reporting.
